Private Tour of our local Shipwrecks

July 14, 2017

Last Weekend

Last weekend I got to show off two of my favourite local shipwrecks with Hannah, a newly certified diver visiting from Tennessee. On the left we have the historical wooden schooner the Marquette showing off her impressive anchors in front of the relatively in tact bow section. On the right we have the massive steel bulk carrier Mapledawn at 350ft long she offers a great dive experience displaying a large propeller, winch, twin boilers and seen here displaying her incredible quadruple expansion engine. Both dives are relatively shallow (30-40ft) and warm (average 18oC), so they are ideal for most divers.
