Georgian Bay Divers is a reflection of Lee’s incredible adventures and experience, but most of all it is a project inspired by a passion for promoting diving and underwater exploration.

Lee has been a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Emergency First Response Instructor for over 10 years.  He is a qualified marine biologist, scientific diver, with well over 2000 wide-ranging dives and is also a commercially qualified boat captain.

With his passion for conservation, Lee has founded a branch of GBD called OTIONOS (www.otionos.com) aimed at protecting marine life from the various pressures they face today.  His most current project, and biggest passion, is with Humpback Whales.

Since 2008 Lee has returned to Georgian Bay most summers where the clear water and tranquility of cottage life is the perfect setting to share his passion with the adventure and nature-loving people of Ontario. Lee can be found somewhere in the Bahama-Turks Island chain during the winter months.

Lee was born in Exeter England, but is now based in Canada with his wife Melissa.

"In the end we will conserve only what we love.  We will love only what we understand.  We will understand only what we are taught."

Our scuba instructors are experienced and knowledgeable, with over fifteen years and more than 2000 scientific, commercial and professional dives around the world. We go deeper than simply dive training, we believe in teaching scuba diving to allow you to fully understand and immerse yourself in the discovery of a whole new world. We promote adventure, passion and aspire to inspire. As such, all of our instructors are marine biologists who share in our passion for marine conservation.

2.5 KM SWIM ON GEORGIAN BAY

The GBD migration swim raises funds to help protect Humpback Whales that can migrate up to 10,000 km every year between feeding and breeding grounds.
